About

From the hit books and movies, Bridget Jones' Diary and The Edge of Reason, the character of Mark Darcy is so dreamy, you can't help but love him. The movies are based on a series written by Helen Fielding, and are a modernization of the popular book, Pride and Prejudice. In fact, the character of Mark Darcy is based directly on Colin Firth's portrayal of Mr. Darcy, from the 1995 mini series.

What makes Mark Darcy so fantastic? For one, he is downright dreamy. The first time we meet Mark, he's wearing a rather unfortunate sweater, which only endears him more. As the film goes on, we realize that Mark's sarcastic remarks towards Bridget is actually his bizarre idea of flirting. Which makes us love him even more. He, of course, reveals his true feelings ("I like you...just as you are"), and we fall for him, just as Bridget does.

In the second book/movie, Bridget and Mark are still together. He's still as dreamy as ever. He even smiles! Unfortunately, things between Bridget and Mark go sour. But! Mark comes back and saves the day again, and we fall in love with him all over again. Every woman wants a man who sees all the stupid shit we do, and think it's endearing...rather than embarrassing!

What's a fanlisting you ask? It's basically a place where the fans of a particular subject come together, whether it be an actor, singer, band, tv, movie, whatever, and have their names listed. If you have a website, you can grab a nifty code and proclaim your love for the subject! You can find out more at the network site, Thefanlistings.org.
